I even double checked the build up to that point and I had not used a wrong part so it was definitely missing even after thorough bag, box and floor checks. Thank goodness for stash as I couldn't imagine having to wait for a replacement part after spending so long building. Now on to the good stuff. Honestly, I just kept going and going until it was finished and I never felt jaded or tired whilst constructing the vehicle.
I even had to be forced to stop to eat. Honestly this was really absorbing and watching the vehicle emerge from a bunch of random looking connectors and struts was incredible and made me immeasurably happy. If you are on the fence about getting a larger Technic kit I cannot recommend this vehicle highly enough. If anything it was actually easier than the smaller sets I've built. The only thing I would say is make sure you have a large stable building surface as this thing really takes up some space.
Also, there are NO numbered bags so you will need to open everything up and wrangling nearly pieces can be a challenge in itself.
Build Time: 7 hrs 45 mins. July 25th, Added Powered Up Motors to the Porsche. Added 2 large Power Up motors and Hub to the Porsche, to fit the motor under the engine you will need to raise the engine by one hole.
There is plenty of room in the engine bay to do this, also if you want the engine to turn with the wheels you will need to replace the 12 tooth bevel gear with a 28 tooth bevel gear, element March 28th, Average rating3out of 5 stars. Overall, good build, bad execution. I have found something that helps. When I saw this model, I was so excited. My wife convinced me to built the Ford Mustang creator set first. I did. Generate a new map just like you'd do in Minecraft and have a wander around.
Chances are you'll begin to see unfamiliar things, like unusual-looking ores, blocks of marble, pools of oil, massive trees, and perhaps even a volcano. Then do as you'd normally do -- go punch a tree.
Once you've got some wood, built a shelter and some basic tools and begun your mine, it's time to get started with some of the included mods. The best one to begin with is IndustrialCraft, but before you do that, make yourself a divining rod.
There are two recipes you need -- combine eight blocks of cobblestone with a piece of coal to make low covalence dust , and then surround a stick with that dust to make your divining rod.
Once you have that, you can scan a short distance into walls, making mining immediately easier. The higher the number that it reports back, the better. If it shows , you've struck diamond. This is a good set by itself, not looking at the price. The motorized and pneumatic functions work perfectly and are really cool and fun. Although I'm not a huge fan of the looks of the machine itself, I'm happy to see that Lego technic is using some different colors in their sets.
The small details in this set are on point. Lego technic once again has mixed the standard technic parts with regular system bricks to make something beautifully detailed and fun to play with. On the other hand the set is overpriced. If you really have your eyes set on this set, then by all means buy it. It is a great model. Play Experience. Level of Difficulty. Build Time: 3 hrs.
